We bring hands on creative workshops to your organization introducing your participants to various cultural and industrial arts through experiential learning and skill-share artist workshops. We want to help participants find their new “thing”, something new they can engage in, be passionate about and proud of. The end goal is to empower participants to manage their mental health challenges and/or substance use disorder in a manner which allows them to achieve their goals, connect with others, find purpose and a positive sense of belonging in their community.
Once onboarding is complete and the deposit is secured, we’ll arrive 1–2 hours early to get everything set up for you. All we need is a spot with electricity, a nearby water source, and enough tables for your group—we’ll take care of the rest! Our activities work great indoors or outdoors, and we do a lot of prep work beforehand to keep things clean and efficient. If you’d like to hold it outside, we are very flexible, provided the weather stays nice. Sessions typically last 1–2 hours.
During our workshops we invite and encourage a casual and relaxed open discussion about recovery. We share our lived experience and what has helped us in our own recovery journey. We are Registered Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (R-CPRS) and certified SMART Recovery Facilitators. We are also certified to facilitate Action Planning For Prevention and Recovery (APPR) meetings and more. We are peers who have been where your participants have been and bring hope that recovery is possible for anyone no matter what.
Pricing will depend on the workshop (materials), group size and travel time required. Please contact us below for pricing or by emailing creativerecoveryvirginia@gmail.com
Note: Our Contracted Certified Peer Recovery Specialists are registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling. If our workshops are provided "under the oversight of a Medicaid-enrolled provider or facility" they are considered reimbursable group services.
This can help to offset the cost of our workshops.
